Just before I was scheduled to run my first half marathon in the fall of 2006, my stepfather, Pat Konewko, was diagnosed with throat cancer. I wore his initials on a piece of apparel during the race, something that proved both meaningful to him and motivational for me. It was a source of strength I drew upon to give my best performance. After Papa passed away, I recognized that many people taking part in events have the desire to run or walk in honor of a loved one. PKstrong was developed to help those participants create meaningful athletic apparel, and in doing so to dedicate their race to someone special. All of those who run for a reason can now share it with the world. Owner, PKstrong
